New Milestones Foundation Announces New Director
New Milestones Foundation is pleased to announce Mary Gatlin Hearon as our new director. Mary brings over 25 years of experience in non-profit management, fundraising, program development and building collaborative community partnerships. Mary has served as the Executive Director of 4 non-profit organizations, Vice President of Mental Health America of Dallas and Director of Development at Mental Health America of Texas. Her experience also includes seven years in private practice as a child therapist in Fort Worth, Texas. Mary earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Houston and her master’s degree in child development and therapeutic counseling from Texas Woman’s University in Denton, Texas.
Mary is excited to help raise awareness of mental health issues and support the programs and services of Integral Care. “When access to quality mental health care is available, everyone’s health and well-being benefits. Increasing our investments in mental health care and early intervention will help ensure our community has the tools to thrive—both now and in the future. Honoring 2018 Champion Award Winner Clay Johnston, M.D., Ph.D.
Dr. Johnston began his work in Austin in 2014 as the inaugural Dean of the Dell Medical School – The University of Texas. He also serves as the Vice President for Medical Affairs and holds the Frank and Charmaine Denius Distinguished Dean’s Chair in Medical Leadership. His ambitious vision includes building a world-class medical school by creating a vital, inclusive health ecosystem that supports new and innovative models of education and healthcare delivery.
Integral Care and Dell Medical School have created a pivotal collaboration to meet our community’s growing need for access to quality mental health and substance use disorder care and services for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
